Care & Maintenance

  • Will cold weather harm my toy if left outdoors

When temperature falls below 32°F / 0°C, remove the product and store indoors. In extreme cold weather, plastic materials lose resilience and may become brittle and crack upon impact.

  • Sand & water product maintenance.

Please check the unit twice monthly during the season it’s being used, and tighten as required. If not checked regularly, parts can become loosened or misplaced and components can get detached and cause injuries. DO NOT leave this item exposed to strong wind and inclement weather. Remove and store product indoors and clean the table regularly with soapy water in order to avoid a buildup of static electricity. Water should be changed frequently. Occasional sanitizing is recommended to remove debris and prevent bacterial growth.

  • Outdoor product maintenance

Check all bolts, edges and corners of the unit at the beginning of the usage season and monthly thereafter for evidence of deterioration and damage. If not checked on a regular basis, parts can be loosen, cracked or be misplaced and components may detach and cause an injury. Immediately remove and replace any items that appear to be weak or broken. DO NOT leave this item exposed to strong wind and inclement weather. At the end of each play season or when temperature falls below 32°F / 0°C, remove the product and store indoors. In extreme cold weather, plastic materials lose resilience and may become brittle and crack upon impact.

  • Easel maintenance

DO NOT use any Spray or Dry-Erase cleaners on the board, as this may cause damage. This table was made for INDOOR use, DO NOT attempt to use or expose the unit outdoors. The board is weather sensitive, any wetness or excessive dampness will ruin the board. Treat the board surfaces with care; DO NOT use sharp pointed objects on the writing surface. Scratching the surface will cause permanent damage. Completely erase the board surfaces before storing it for an extended period of time. If there is some hard-to-erase ink/chalk left on the dry-erase board or chalkboard surface, use a slightly damp sponge (or paper towel) and wipe the board clean. Any excessive water may damage the board.

    Whiteboard (Dry-Erase)
It is recommended that you use Crayola® Dry-Erase Markers purchase on a small area of the board, prior to allowing the child to play with the board. Do not use Washable Markers or Permanent Markers. For best results, use only Crayola® Low Odor, Non-Toxic Dry-Erase Markers.

    Chalkboard
Chalkboard must be treated seasoned prior to use. To season: Hold Crayola® Anti-Dust® or school chalk on the flat side (not the point side) and using broad flat strokes, coat the board both horizontally then vertically, making sure to cover the entire board surface. Wipe off the chalk with a slightly damp sponge (or paper towel). Crayola® Anti-Dust® or school chalk (calcium carbonate based) is recommended for use on the chalkboard surface. DO NOT use Crayola® Sidewalk Chalk or other “street chalk” as it contains abrasives that will damage the board.
